Game on for health: can a fun app get more people screened for colon cancer?

NCT ID NCT07269028

Summary

This study tested whether a personalized, game-like smartphone app could help people make better decisions about colorectal cancer screening. Researchers compared the app, which included quizzes and rewards, to a standard educational app. They measured if the interactive app improved people's knowledge, reduced confusion about the decision, and ultimately led more people to complete the recommended screening test.
