First seen Apr 16, 2026 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study follows 60 people with lower-risk myelodysplastic neoplasms (MDS) for 6 months to see how different blood transfusion strategies affect their quality of life. Participants use a smartphone app or paper questionnaires to report symptoms weekly, and doctors collect routine health data monthly. The study also tests if photos of fingernails or eyelids can help estimate hemoglobin levels, aiming to develop a non-invasive way to monitor anemia.
