Tracking blood thinner safety: can patients stick with their meds?

NCT ID NCT07458191

Summary

This study aims to monitor the safety and real-world use of the blood thinner apixaban in patients with atrial fibrillation, a heart condition that increases stroke risk. Researchers will follow 800 patients for six months to see how often serious bleeding or other side effects occur and to check if patients are taking their medication as prescribed. The goal is to better understand the risks and benefits of this common preventive treatment in everyday practice.
