Heart valve surgery showdown: which replacement lasts longer?

NCT ID NCT07210541

Summary

This study compared two surgical options for replacing a worn-out aortic heart valve in patients aged 60-74. Researchers tracked 93 patients who received either a stented biological valve or a donor tissue valve (allograft) to see which was safer and more effective over time. They measured complications, survival rates, and how long each valve lasted before needing another surgery.
