Summary
This study looked at 77 younger patients (60 or under) who had a mechanical aortic valve replacement. Researchers wanted to see if a mismatch between the valve size and the patient's body affects heart recovery and exercise ability over the long term. Participants underwent stress tests and heart ultrasounds to measure oxygen use and heart function.
