Heart study challenges when to operate on 'Ticking time Bomb' aorta

Summary
This trial aims to find the best approach for people with a moderately enlarged aorta, a condition that risks a dangerous tear. About 610 participants will be randomly assigned to either have early surgery to replace the aorta or to be closely monitored with regular scans. The study will compare which group has fewer deaths or aortic emergencies over two years to guide future treatment decisions.
