New stent procedure offers hope for High-Risk aortic aneurysm patients

NCT ID NCT02323581

Summary

This study is testing a less invasive procedure using custom-designed stent grafts to treat dangerous aortic aneurysms in patients who are too high-risk for traditional open surgery. The goal is to see if this approach is safe and effective at preventing aneurysm rupture and related complications. Researchers will follow 520 high-risk patients for at least a year to monitor outcomes.
