Summary

This study looked at how two schizophrenia medicines, risperidone and aripiprazole, affect the energy-producing parts of cells (mitochondria) in 60 patients. The goal was to understand if these drugs cause cell energy problems that might lead to side effects. It was not designed to treat or cure schizophrenia, but to gather knowledge about how the drugs work inside the body.
