Can your sunscreen do more? new study tests extra protection for your Skin's DNA

NCT ID NCT07301515

Summary

This study tested whether a daily sunscreen with added antioxidants protects the DNA inside skin cells better than a sunscreen without them. 52 healthy adults used either the antioxidant sunscreen or a plain cream on their face daily for 12 weeks. Researchers took cheek swabs to measure DNA damage from everyday sun and environmental exposure.
