Food as medicine: diet study aims to fight silent killer
NCT ID NCT07354438
Summary
This study is testing whether eating more antioxidant-rich foods can help lower the risk of developing metabolic syndrome—a cluster of conditions like high blood pressure and high blood sugar. Researchers will work with 55 adults in Pakistan who are at risk for this condition and currently eat few fruits and vegetables. They will provide a dietary plan to boost antioxidant intake and measure changes in health markers like blood pressure and body composition.
