Antibiotic showdown: which drug better prevents early labor?

NCT ID NCT01722708

Summary

This study compared two common antibiotics, clindamycin and metronidazole, to see which works better at treating abnormal vaginal bacteria in pregnant women at high risk for early labor. Researchers randomly assigned 166 women to receive one of the two oral medications and then checked if the bacteria were cleared. The goal was to prevent complications like preterm birth by effectively treating this infection risk factor.
