Summary
This large UK study aims to find out if patients need antibiotics after surgery for a broken jaw to prevent infection. It will compare three approaches: no extra antibiotics, a short course, or a longer course. The goal is to determine the safest and most effective practice to avoid unnecessary antibiotic use and its risks.
