Summary
This study aimed to find out if patients need to take antibiotics after having their gallbladder removed for a mild or moderate infection. It compared the infection rates in 414 patients who either received antibiotics after surgery or did not. The goal was to see if skipping these antibiotics is just as safe for preventing further infections.
