Antibiotics tested as first treatment for rare eye cancer

NCT ID NCT01820910

Summary

This trial is testing if a long course of the antibiotic doxycycline can control a rare type of eye lymphoma by treating a possible bacterial infection linked to the cancer. It is for adults newly diagnosed with early-stage lymphoma only in the eye area who have not had recent antibiotics. The main goal is to see if this approach keeps the cancer from getting worse for at least two years.
