First seen Jan 27, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study tested whether the antibiotic doxycycline can control a rare lymphoma of the eye that is linked to a bacterial infection. 44 newly diagnosed patients received prolonged doxycycline, and if the infection returned, they were retreated. The goal was to see how long the cancer stayed under control. The approach aims to manage the disease without chemotherapy, but ongoing monitoring and possible retreatment are needed.
