New hope for tiniest patients: testing antibiotic for dangerous baby infections
NCT ID NCT06462235
Summary
This study is testing the safety and how the body processes a new combination of two antibiotics (aztreonam and avibactam) in babies under 9 months old who have serious bacterial infections. The goal is to find the right dose and see if it's safe for this vulnerable age group. The study has two parts: one to test a single dose and another to give multiple doses as a treatment for an active infection.
