Doctors and pharmacists team up to fight superbugs
NCT ID NCT07359287
Summary
This study tests whether a two-part program can help doctors prescribe fewer unnecessary antibiotics for common respiratory infections like bronchitis, sinusitis, and sore throats. The program involves better tracking of circulating viruses and having pharmacists double-check that prescribed antibiotic courses are the right length. The goal is to fight antibiotic resistance by making sure antibiotics are used only when truly needed.
