Summary

This study is testing if washing the surgical area with antibiotic solution during appendix removal surgery works better than standard cleaning to prevent wound infections in children with a burst appendix. It involves 200 children aged 18 or younger who are having this type of surgery. Researchers will compare infection rates between children who receive the antibiotic wash and those who receive standard care.
