First seen Mar 25, 2026 · Last updated Apr 06, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study is testing whether giving the antibiotic piperacillin/tazobactam as an injection under the skin (subcutaneous) works as well as giving it through an IV line. Researchers want to see if the under-skin method delivers enough medication to fight infections while being safe and possibly more convenient. The trial will involve 240 adults with serious bacterial infections who need this specific antibiotic treatment.
