Can a simple sheet of paper curb unnecessary antibiotics?
NCT ID NCT07383350
Summary
This study is testing whether giving patients a printed information sheet during a doctor's visit for common respiratory infections (like bronchitis, sinusitis, or a sore throat) leads to fewer antibiotic prescriptions. Over 1,100 adults visiting Danish general practitioners will either receive these sheets or usual care. Researchers want to see if better information improves doctor-patient communication and helps avoid antibiotics when they aren't needed.
