Doctors get report cards to curb unneeded antibiotics
NCT ID NCT06144242
Summary
This study aims to reduce unnecessary antibiotic prescriptions for common respiratory infections like colds and flu, which are often caused by viruses that antibiotics don't treat. Researchers will test if giving doctors feedback on how their prescribing compares to their peers helps lower antibiotic use. The trial involves 90 urgent care clinics within a single healthcare system.
