Are Infection-Fighting antibiotics strong enough for obese patients?
NCT ID NCT07253805
Summary
This study aims to find out if the standard antibiotic doses given to obese patients before weight-loss surgery are high enough to prevent infections. Researchers will measure the antibiotic levels in patients' blood and fat tissue during surgery to see if they reach effective concentrations. The goal is to gather better information to guide future dosing recommendations for this patient group.
