Two drugs vs. one: battle against deadly blood infections

Summary
This study compares whether using two antibiotics together works better than using just one antibiotic for treating serious bloodstream infections caused by Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. The trial will include about 2,100 hospitalized adults with these infections. Hospitals will be randomly assigned each month to use either the single or combination approach for high-risk patients.
