First seen Jan 23, 2026 · Last updated Jun 11, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This early-stage study tested a new type of immune cell therapy (CAR-T cells) designed to attack a protein called ALPP found on some advanced solid tumors. Five patients with tumors that had not responded to standard treatments received the therapy. The main goals were to check for side effects and see if the treatment could shrink tumors or slow their growth.
