First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 25, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This early-stage study is testing whether a combination of exercise, a natural supplement called spermidine, and either rapamycin or lamivudine can safely reduce inflammation and slow aging in people aged 65-80 who smoke or used to smoke. The main goal is to see if the approach is safe and doable, not yet to prove it works. Only 22 participants will be enrolled.
