New serum study hopes to turn back the clock on aging skin
NCT ID NCT07156071
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026
Summary
This study tested two facial serums on 120 healthy Chinese women aged 18 to 45 to see if they could reduce wrinkles and improve skin radiance and texture over 12 weeks. Participants applied the serum twice daily and were evaluated by dermatologists and through self-assessments. The goal was to find a cosmetic product that eases visible signs of aging.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
facial serum (topical cosmetic product)
What this could lead to
If successful, this could point toward an effective over-the-counter serum for reducing wrinkles and improving skin radiance and texture.
What could go wrong
This is a small, completed study with no blinding or placebo control, so results may be biased or not generalizable. The serums are cosmetic, not medical treatments.
