First seen Jun 03, 2026 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This early study tested a simple shoe wedge designed to help people who have trouble fully straightening their knee after total knee replacement surgery. Eight adults wore the wedge on their shoe for 4 weeks while walking. The goal was to see if this non-invasive device could reduce knee stiffness and improve daily function, potentially avoiding the need for additional surgery or anesthesia.
