First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This early-phase trial tests whether injecting a person's own disc cells back into their damaged spinal disc is safe and can reduce pain. It involves 12 adults with a herniated disc who have had back pain for over six weeks without relief from other treatments. Participants receive one injection of their own cells, guided by X-ray, and are followed for 12 months to check for side effects and measure pain and function improvements.
