Shorter hospital stays tested for kids with severe eating disorder
NCT ID NCT04479683
Summary
This study is testing whether a shorter hospital stay followed by weekly day treatment works as well as a longer traditional hospital stay for children aged 8-13 with severe anorexia nervosa. Researchers want to see if the shorter plan helps children reach a healthy weight just as effectively after one year, while being easier on families and less disruptive to school and social life. The goal is to find a treatment that controls the disease effectively but is more manageable for young patients.
