Hospital strategies tested to stop anorexia from coming back

NCT ID NCT04046926

Summary

This study aimed to understand and reduce the high rate of relapse in anorexia nervosa after patients leave the hospital. Researchers followed 118 female patients who had successfully restored their weight during inpatient treatment. They tested new procedures during the hospital stay to see if they could help patients maintain their recovery and prevent relapse in the critical first year after going home.
