Floating towards healing: new therapy tackles Anorexia's core distress
NCT ID NCT06332963
Summary
This study is testing a new therapy approach to help reduce body image distress in people with anorexia nervosa. Researchers are comparing two types of mindfulness training: one focused on internal body sensations using float therapy, and another focused on the external environment. The goal is to see if helping people reconnect with their internal body signals can improve how they perceive their body size and shape.
