New drug combo aims to save kidneys in cancer surgery

NCT ID NCT07627464

First seen Jun 10, 2026 · Last updated Jun 10, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether giving two drugs (anlotinib and benmelstobart) before surgery can help preserve kidney function and improve outcomes for people with localized kidney cancer. About 144 participants will either receive the drugs before a partial nephrectomy or have surgery alone. The goal is to see if the combination leads to better kidney function and fewer complications after surgery.
