3D-Printed bone implant aims to save damaged ankles

Summary

This study is tracking the safety and benefits of a custom 3D-printed replacement for the main ankle bone (talus) in real-world use. It will follow 50 patients who have already received the implant for severe ankle damage due to bone death, large defects, or failed fractures. Researchers will check if the implant stays in place safely for 5 years and measure changes in pain, ankle function, and quality of life.
