First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study compares two surgical methods for people with chronic ankle instability (frequent ankle sprains). One is a standard open repair (Broström-Gould), the other is a newer arthroscopic (keyhole) technique using donor tissue. The goal is to see which provides better pain relief, function, and safety. The study will enroll 36 adults and follow them for one year after surgery.
