Needles vs. braces: new study aims to find best fix for twisted ankles
NCT ID NCT07161427
Summary
This study aims to see if a new type of acupuncture is better than standard care for healing ankle sprains and preventing them from becoming a long-term problem. It will compare two treatments in 62 people with recent ankle sprains: one group gets the new needling technique, while the other wears a brace and does special exercises. Researchers will track pain, ankle movement, and balance for six months to see which approach works best.
