New implant may boost ankle surgery recovery
NCT ID NCT07401095
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study compares two ways to repair a torn ankle ligament: standard surgery with stitches alone versus adding a special implant that may help healing. About 40 adults having arthroscopic Brostrom repair will be randomly assigned to one of the two groups. Researchers will track pain, function, and activity levels for up to a year to see if the implant leads to better outcomes.
