NCT ID NCT07589218
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study examines ankle range of motion and ligamentous hyperlaxity (naturally loose joints) in 38 child basketball players aged 8 to 15. Researchers use simple tests like the Ankle Test and Lower Body Test to see how flexibility relates to common injuries. The goal is to gather information that could lead to future injury prevention plans for young athletes.

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
What this could lead to
If successful, this research could help design injury prevention programs for young basketball players.
What could go wrong
This is a small observational study (38 participants) that only measures movement and flexibility, not a treatment. Results may not apply to other sports or age groups.
