Doctors test ankle to diagnose mysterious ear noises
NCT ID NCT07384091
Summary
This study aims to see if a hearing test performed on the ankle can correctly identify a specific inner ear problem in people who hear their own body sounds (autophony) or a pulsing noise in their ear (pulsatile tinnitus). Researchers will test 30 adults with these symptoms to see if the ankle test can tell who has the ear condition and who doesn't. The goal is to find a simpler, more accurate way to diagnose this disorder.
