New screw fixation offers hope for unhealed ankle breaks

Summary

This study tests a surgical technique using two compression screws to fix ankle fractures that have not healed after at least 6 months. Ten adults aged 18 to 65 with a specific type of non-union will be enrolled. The goal is to see if this method helps the bone heal and reduces pain, allowing a return to normal function.
