Summary

This study looked at two common surgeries for a type of broken ankle called a bimalleolar fracture. 200 adults aged 18-60 were randomly assigned to get either a metal plate and screws or a less invasive wire and screw. The goal was to see which method led to better ankle function 3 months after surgery.
