Hidden flaws in ankle surgery? CT scans reveal what x-rays miss

NCT ID NCT07338149

Summary

This study looked at whether a CT scan is better than standard X-rays at spotting subtle alignment problems in the ankle joint after surgery for a broken ankle. Researchers followed 86 adults who had surgery and got both types of scans. They then checked the patients' ankle function one year later to see if the problems seen only on CT scans were linked to worse outcomes.
