First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study looks at how fatigue in the ankle muscles affects walking balance in 40 adults, half with chronic ankle instability and half healthy. Participants walk on a treadmill at two speeds while gentle pushes are applied to their hips. Researchers measure muscle activity and step patterns to understand how fatigue changes stability. The goal is to learn more about fall risks in people with ankle instability.
