Healthy volunteers to reveal hidden immune effects of common anesthetics

NCT ID NCT07268872

First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looks at how four different anesthetic drugs change the immune system in 80 healthy volunteers aged 20-30. Participants are randomly assigned to receive propofol, sevoflurane, ciprofol, or no anesthesia. Blood samples are taken before, right after, and 24 and 48 hours after anesthesia to analyze immune cells and molecules. The goal is to understand the drugs' effects on immunity without surgery, not to treat any disease.
