New injection could ease sudden back pain in days

Summary
This study tests whether an injection of numbing medicine and steroids into the back muscles can quickly relieve sudden low back pain. About 40 adults with pain lasting less than a week will receive either the injection or a placebo. The goal is to see if the treatment reduces pain during activity over the first four days.
