Eye scan measures brain pressure in common Women's surgery
NCT ID NCT06168578
Summary
This study aims to understand if a specific breathing technique used by anesthesiologists affects pressure inside the skull during a common type of hysterectomy surgery. Researchers will enroll 60 women undergoing laparoscopic hysterectomy and measure pressure changes using a safe, non-invasive ultrasound scan of the eye's optic nerve. The goal is to gather knowledge to help make this surgery even safer by monitoring potential effects on the brain.
