Which anesthesia is safer for fragile seniors?

NCT ID NCT07191769

Summary

This study aims to find out which type of anesthesia is safer for frail elderly patients having a common bladder or prostate surgery. Researchers will compare spinal anesthesia (a numbing injection in the back) with general anesthesia (being fully asleep) in 180 patients. They will track complications, hospital stays, and deaths within 30 days to see which method leads to better recovery.
