Safer sleep for seniors: testing anesthesia cocktails to prevent dangerous blood pressure drops

NCT ID NCT07002073

Summary

This study aims to find which combination of anesthesia drugs works better to keep blood pressure stable when elderly patients are put to sleep for surgery. Researchers will compare two different drug mixes in 102 patients over 65 having non-heart surgery. The main goal is to see which mix causes fewer dangerous drops in blood pressure during the critical first minutes after anesthesia begins.
