Researchers probe dangerous blood pressure plunge in elderly cancer surgery
NCT ID NCT07294040
Summary
This study aims to understand how often and why older cancer patients experience a dangerous drop in blood pressure right after they are put under general anesthesia for surgery. Researchers will observe 140 patients aged 65 and older to identify which factors—like age, health status, or cancer treatments—increase this risk. The goal is to gather information that helps doctors create safer anesthesia plans for this vulnerable group.
