Doctors watch closely to make Kids' anesthesia safer

NCT ID NCT07245654

Summary

This study aims to better understand how well a standard anesthesia monitor works in children during the critical moments when they are put to sleep for surgery. Researchers will observe 100 pediatric patients (ages 1-19) during their routine anesthesia care, specifically watching their brain activity and pain response. The goal is to see if the monitor's readings match the child's actual experience to help prevent complications like waking up during surgery or post-surgery confusion.
