Doctors watch brain waves tilt during surgery

NCT ID NCT07467200

Summary

This study aims to understand how tilting a patient's head down during laparoscopic hysterectomy surgery affects the brain monitoring devices used by anesthesiologists. Researchers will observe 60 adult female patients undergoing this surgery, recording their brain activity and oxygen levels using non-invasive sensors. The goal is to see if the tilted position changes the readings independently of the anesthesia drugs, which could help doctors interpret these monitors more accurately.
